Introduction / History
The Damor are a scheduled tribe of India who are also called Damaria and live in Gujarat in Sabarkantha and Panchmahai and in Rajasthan.

The Damor are supposed to be descendants of Rajput men and Bhil women. They are part of the Bhil tribe. They speak Gujarati and a form of Rajasthani.

The Damor are endogamous with clan exogamy and have several clans that are Rajput. Parmar and Sisodia are two of their main clans. The Damor work in agriculture and some of them own land. They are Hindus.

The Damor of Rajasthan are not vegetarians and eat wheat and maize as cereals. Vagri is their main language and they read and write in Devanagari.
