Khadura of India

Introduction / History
The Khadura live in Orissa. They speak, read and write in Oriya. They are not vegetarians. Rice and wheat are the cereals they eat. Hinduism is their religion.

They have birth, marriage and death rituals. Monogamy is common among them. Widows cannot marry again. On the death of the father, sons inherit the property with the oldest son becoming in charge of the home.

The Khadura are metal workers. Some work in cultivation and other work. There are landowners among them while others are landless. They believe in education. Some of them use family planning.

Prayer Points
* Pray that God gives them dreams and visions leading them to Jesus Christ.
* Pray that gospel materials lead them to salvation.
