Mukha Dhora of India

Introduction / History
The Mukha Dora also called Nooka Dora are a scheduled tribe of Andhra Pradesh. They speak Telugu and eat rice as a cereal.

The Mukha Dora like cousin marriages. They are exogamous, meaning that they marry outside their group clan. Hinduism is their religion mixed with traditional religions.

They work in agriculture. Forest produce is sold by them. A village council looks after them. They have a low literacy level, so the gospel will need to be given in oral form too. Family planning is used by them.

Many also speak the Mukha Dora language. Polygamy takes place a lot. Beef and pork are not eaten by them.

Prayer Points
* Pray that the village council will come to Jesus Christ and lead others to Him.
* Pray that gospel materials will lead them to salvation.
