Node of India

Introduction / History
The Node are Muslims and they live in Gujarat in India. They are nomads in Banni in Kutch. Nodi and Nodhi are other names for them. They speak a form of Kutchi.

The Node are endogamous (preferring not to marry outside their group) and marry with other Samma people. They have many clans such as Palli and Uttal. All these clans are classed as being equal.

The Node raise cattle and are agricultural workers. They do not own land. Many have migrated to other places in India looking for work. They have a Caste Association that looks after them.

Before the Node came to Kutch, they lived for a period in Sindh in Pakistan and a minority of them live there to this day.

Prayer Points
* Pray that the leaders of the Caste Association will come to Jesus Christ and lead others of the Node to salvation too.
* Pray that gospel materials will bring them to Jesus Christ.
