Rajput Saithwar of India

Introduction / History
The Rajput Saithwar or Sainthwar live mainly in Gorakhpur and other regions of Uttar Pradesh and some in west Bihar in India. Their main work is agriculture.

Most of them belong to the Suryavanshi and Nagvanshi sects of Hinduism. They generally do not have social links with Rajputs in the same region. They are classed as a sub-caste of Kurmi and given reservation benefit that can help them in certain ways though they are not joined to the Kurmi.

The Saithwar are endogamous with marriages occurring only between members of the same clan. They are fair to dark in complexion usually and that depending on their ancestors.

Sainthwar means one who left Sihat, in the state of Punjab.

Prayer Points
* Pray that gospel materials will bring the Saithwar to Jesus Christ.
* Pray that Indian Christians will help bring them to salvation.
