Sirkiband (Hindu traditions) of India

Introduction / History
The Sirkiband are a scheduled caste. Hinduism is their religion. They make straw mats and items from grass. Many of them are now laborers. Many live on the banks of the river. The literacy level is low, so the gospel will need to be given in oral form too.

The Sirkiband in the Punjab speak Punjabi. They are mostly vegetarians who eat wheat. They are endogamous at community level. They have gotras who look after marriages.

The Sirkiband in Haryana speak in Haryanavi. They live in Delhi and Chandigarh too. A few live in Himachal Pradesh.

Prayer Points
* Pray that Indian Christians will lead them to Jesus Christ.
