Introduction / History The Bhil Bhilala are a scheduled tribe who live in Maharashtra and also live in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. They speak Bhili and Marathi and read and write in Devanagari. They are not vegetarians and eat wheat and rice.
The Bhil Bhilala are monogamous and believe in polygamy too. The divorced and bereaved can marry again. The dead are cremated or buried. Hinduism is their religion.
The Bhil Bhilala work in agriculture and as laborers. They also work in animal husbandry and collecting forest produce which they sell at markets. A council looks after them and judges in disagreements. Prayer Points * Pray that the council leaders come to Jesus Christ and lead others to Him.
* Pray that gospel materials and the internet will lead them to salvation. Text source: Anonymous |
