Gond Raja Muria of India

Introduction / History
The Gond, Raja Muria are a Scheduled Tribe of Madhya Pradesh. The older people speak Gondi while the younger ones speak Halbi. They are not vegetarians and eat rice as a cereal.

The Raja Muria have clans who look after marriages. They have cross cousin marriages. They work mostly in cultivation. The women help. They also make and sell rope.

The Raja Muria are Hindus by religion. They have a council to look after them. They prefer traditional medicines. They are only partially educated so the gospel may need to be given in oral form too.

Prayer Points
* Pray that council leaders come to Jesus Christ and lead others to Him.
* Pray that gospel recordings lead them to salvation.
