Introduction / History
The Myasa Beda migrated from Andhra Pradesh to Karnataka. They speak Telugu and Kannada and read and write in Kannada. They are not vegetarians. Hinduism is their religion.

The Myasa Beda have cousin marriages. Divorce and marrying again are allowed. They have birth and marriage rituals. On the death of the father, sons inherit the property. The dead are buried.

The Myasa Beda work in agricultural labor and cultivation. They have festivals. Their children are educated to primary school level or further. They use traditional and modern medicines. A community council looks after them.
