Parja Pengo of India

Introduction / History
The Paroja or Pengo are a scheduled tribe who live in Orissa. They speak the Pengo language. They are not vegetarians who eat rice and barley.

The Paroja are monogamous. They have many clans. Women help, except in politics and religion.

The Paroja religion is a mixture of Hinduism and tribal religion. They have a council to look after them. Their education level is low, so the gospel will need to be given in oral form too. They do not tend to like to use family planning. Shifting cultivation is the main work that they do.

Prayer Points
* Pray that gospel recordings will lead them to Jesus Christ.
* Pray that the council leaders come to Jesus Christ and lead others to Him too.
