Introduction / History
The Khadim people, also called Khadim-e-ala or Khadim-e-khas, are Sunni Muslims who live in India’s northern states of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. They have low social status among both Hindus and Muslims. Their name means “servant” or “caretaker.”

What are their lives like?
Their position involves being caretakers of Sufi shrines and mosques.

What are their beliefs?
The Khadim people are solidly Muslims. They practice Sufism, a mystic, emotional form of Islam, often tied with Sunni Islam.

What are their needs?
The Khadim people need to be given the chance to hear the life-changing gospel so they can enjoy life to the full.

Pray for loving gospel workers to catch a vision for reaching the Khadim people for Jesus and that in God's sovereign timing the hearts of these people would be open and ready to follow him.

Pray for Jesus movements to bless extended families so the gospel will spread rapidly.
