Introduction / History
The Malai Vedan in Tamil Nadu speak Malayam with each other and Tamil with other groups. They read and write in Tamil. Most of them have tattoos. They are not vegetarians. They eat rice as a cereal. They avoid milk or milk products.

The Vedan in Kerala speak in Malayam. They are not vegetarians. Monogamy is their way. They are Hindus by religion. Agriculture is their main work. Marriage is not classed as being important by them and divorce is allowed. The dead are cremated.

The Vedan have forsaken many of their rituals. The word Vedan in the language of Malayam means a hunter.

Pray that God gives the Malai Vedan dreams and visions leading them to Jesus Christ.
Pray that gospel materials will bring them to salvation.
