Traditionally, the Rawat are a landowning community engaged in farming. What are their lives like? Their attitude towards education, medical and family welfare programs is favorable. What are their beliefs? Their family deity is Ashapridebi. Village level and regional level deities are Bherujee and Matajee. What are their needs? The Hindu Rawat have little concept of a personal, creator God who loves them personally.
Stories from scripture, combined with gospel films and recordings, can be effective. Prayer Points Pray for the followers of Christ that will soon be found in the Rawat community, that the Lord will provide qualified pastors and teachers for them, and that they will be well established in the faith.
Pray for the Rawat community to increasingly be aware of their need for forgiveness of sin, and that the creator God loves them.
