Introduction / History
The Korku are a scheduled tribe. They have a low literacy level, so the gospel will need to be given in oral form.

The Korku in Madhya Pradesh speak Korku. They eat rice and wheat. They have a council. Divorcees and the bereaved can marry again. The dead are either cremated or buried. On the death of the father, sons inherit the property with the oldest son becoming in charge of the home. Women help with agriculture. They work in cultivation. Hinduism and traditional religion are their beliefs. They worship ancestors.

The Korku in Maharashtra work in agriculture and collect forest produce for a living. Hinduism is their religion.
