Introduction / History
The Rathia are also called Rath or Rathi. They are a Muslim Rajput group living in Rajasthan in India. Rathi is a breed of cattle that they look after. They speak Marwari.

The Rathia have three main sub-groups which are the Parihar, Johiya and Bohar and there are smaller ones too. Most live in the villages and a few are nomads. Marriages are between the three main sub-divisions. They live in Barmer and other regions.

The Rathia mainly work in agriculture. For six months they do cultivation and for the other six months they do cattle herding. They have caste council leaders that judge in disputes and give punishments.

What are their beliefs?
The Rathia are Sunni Muslims who have folk beliefs also.

Prayer Points
Pray that as the Rathia read the Koran they will be attracted to Jesus Christ and read about Him in the Bible and give their lives to Him.
Pray that the leaders of the caste councils will give their lives to Jesus Christ and lead others of the Rathia to salvation too.
