Introduction / History
The Lingayat Kudu Vokkaliga live in Karnataka and speak, read and write in Kannada. They are vegetarians who eat wheat and rice.

The Kudu Vokkaliga allow cousin marriages. Divorce is not allowed and only widowers can marry again. They have birth rituals. Marriage is at the home of the bridegroom. The dead are cremated.

They work in cultivation by tradition. Some work in business and some are laborers. There are professionals among them, such as teachers, doctors and engineers. They have a community association to look after them. They believe in education and modern medicines and family planning are used by them. Hinduism is their religion and they have festivals.

Pray that the community council leaders will come to Jesus Christ and lead others to Him.
Pray that gospel materials and the internet will lead them to salvation.
Pray believers around the world will not neglect them in their prayers.
