Summary The Lafofa people live in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. Though they have their own language, Lafofa, many of them now speak Arabic like the more powerful Arabs in Sudan.
Ministry Obstacles The primary religion practiced by the Lafofa is Islam, a monotheistic religion built around the teachings of the Koran and of the prophet Mohammad. Muslims are taught at a young age that their religion holds the perfect law, and the ways that Allah wants us to live. Christians, by contrast, have a corrupted holy book that is not as accurate as the Koran.
Outreach Ideas Hopefully, there will be people who will pray fervently and faithfully for the Lafofas of Sudan who lack a gospel witness. Then believers need to go to them, bearing Christ and His kingdom.
Pray for the followers of Christ Pray that the believers among the Lafofas will be salt and light to their neighbors, and joyfully share His ways with everyone.
Pray for the entire people group Pray for a spiritual hunger among the Lafofa people that will lead them to look to Jesus Christ for answers. Pray for them to be discipled in His ways.
Scripture Focus Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
