Introduction / History
The Chain are a people group in West Bengal in India. They speak Indo Arayan and Bengali and read and write in Bengali. They are not vegetarians and they eat wheat and rice.

Upon the death of the father, males and females get the same shares of an inheritance. A widow gets half of the property. The oldest son becomes in charge of the home. They have marriage and birth rituals. The dead are cremated.
