Introduction / History
The Hmar live in Manipur, Mizoram and Dima Haseo in Assam in India.

In Dima Haseo, the Hmar follow monogamy. There is a bride price in marriage. Most of them are classed as Christians. They have their villages on the tops of hills and their houses on wooden planks.

The Hmar work in agriculture. They are hunters. Women do weaving. The leader of the village council has the power and others follow him.

The Hmar continue to have their traditional culture and festivals. They sing folk songs and dance with musical instruments providing the backing for them.

Prayer Points
Pray that the leader of the village council is born again and will lead others of the Hmar who are not to Jesus Christ.
Pray that God gives them dreams and visions leading them to salvation.
