Introduction / History
The Deshwali are Muslims. Desh means country and wali means lord. They speak Marwari and read and write in Devanagari. They are not vegetarians and eat wheat as their primary grain.

The Deshwari are monogamous. They prefer marriage between cousins. Divorcees and the bereaved can marry again. They bury the dead.

The Deshwari have an assembly of elders or "Panchayat" to look after them. Land is their main source of income. They work mostly in cultivation. Some of them are laborers. A go between is used by them to sell at markets.

Prayer Points
Pray that God gives them including their leaders dreams and visions leading them to Jesus Christ.
