Introduction / History
The Valluvan of India are a scheduled caste who live in Tamil Nadu and also in Pondicherry.
In Tamil Nadu the Valluvan live mainly in villages. They speak Tamil and have cross-cousin marriages. Widows cannot marry again. They are priests by tradition and present day too and do fortune telling. Hinduism is their religion. They believe in education.
In Pondicherry they are not vegetarians and eat rice as a cereal. They speak Tamil too. They are mainly landless. Though there are priests, many have gone into other work such as business and trade. They believe in education for boys and to a lesser degree for girls. Family planning and other benefits also are used by them.

Pray that God will give the Valluvan dreams and visions leading them to Jesus Christ.
Pray that gospel materials will lead them to salvation.
