Introduction / History
The Chaudhari are a Scheduled Tribe. Most of them live in Gujarat in India and speak Gujarati.

They are not vegetarians and they eat rice and wheat as cereals. Monogamy is usual in marriage but not always. The women help in social and religious matters and help to bring money in.

Cultivation is the main work of the Chaudhari. They have a traditional council to look after them. Hinduism is their main religion but there are some Chaudhari Christians. They favor education, family planning and modern medicine.

Some of the Chaudhari live in Maharashtra and in Karnataka.

Prayer Points
* Pray that any of the Chaudhari who are evangelical Christians will lead others to Jesus Christ.
* Pray that the Chaudhari council leaders will come to Jesus Christ and lead others to salvation.
