Introduction / History
The Bais Rajputs live in many parts of India and a lot of them live in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The meaning of the name is one who occupies the soil. They speak in Hindi and were an ancient Hindu warrior caste.

The Bais Rajputs do not do cultivation or labouring work. They have workers who farm the land for them. On the death of the father, the older sons get the most. They have a reverence for snakes and do not kill any snakes even if there are snake bites. Water is poured on the head of the snake bite victim.

Most Bais Rajputs enjoy high places in social life. More than half are Hindus with many Muslims and some Sikhs also. Many Muslims and Sikhs live in the Punjab in north India.

Some Bais Rajputs are involved in politics and others are very good at hockey too.

Prayer Points
Pray that God will give the Bais Rajputs dreams and visions leading them to salvation.
Pray that pride will not get in the way of them accepting Jesus Christ.
Pray that they will get access to gospel materials and that this will lead them to salvation.
