Introduction / History
The Muslim Raj Gond live mainly in Nagpur in Maharashtra. Some live in Madhya Pradesh. They converted to Islam from the Gond tribe with whom they are closely related. They are also called Dao Muslim Jamat.
The Muslim Raj Gond are mainly endogamous (they prefer marriages within the community) but no longer use clan exogamy (marrying someone from a different clan). Urdu is now the language usually spoken by them.
They are connected to Tableeghi Jamat or Tablighi Jamaat, a Sunni Islam missionary organization, not involved in politics but encouraging Muslims to return to primary Sunni Islam, particularly in regard to clothing, rituals and behavior.
Prayer Points
Pray that as the Muslim Raj Gond read the Koran they will become attracted to Jesus, read the Bible and give their lives to Jesus Christ.
